7th Evaluation

Imaging is repeated, now 6 years after the initial diagnosis.

MRI of the IACs W/ and W/O Contrast/ MRI of the Brain W/ and W/O Contrast: “There is a mass within the right IAC measuring approximately 9 mm in the transverse diameter and 5 mm in the superior inferior and anterior-posterior diameters.   The lesion does not extend into the CPA cistern region.  There is no mass lesion or abnormal contrast enhancement within the left IAC or CPA cistern region.  There is no abnormal contrast enhancement within the cochlea, vestibule or semicircular canals.  There is no evidence of mastoid disease.  In comparison with the prior MRI of the IACs obtained on (last year) there has been no significant change in the findings.

T1 Axial Scan

T2 Axial Scan

T1 Coronal

Note that the size estimate is now 9 mm, less than estimated in the last scan and indicating the degree of uncertainty in determining a tumor size from imaging studies.

The patient has decided to continue to follow the VS tumor by observation via imaging scans.
