The patient awoke on route to the hospital.  Subsequently there has been cervical and ear pain, and vertigo.   The patient reports that his hearing was normal before the accident. He now reports hearing loss, greater in the left ear. Imaging testing was conducted but the patient could not recall the findings.  He has a pacemaker, so MRI testing cannot be conducted.

He has a history of noise exposure (guns), coronary artery disease, coronary bypass surgery, and hyperlipidemia.

He was referred to physical therapy. They noted positional vertigo, and recommended VNG.
