M.S. is a 59 year old male who reports feeling “off balance” and “lightheaded” and says this is constant. He reports hearing loss in his left ear with no report of tinnitus. He had aural fullness left.
He says the symptoms began 4 years ago. He reports the following:
-Visual blurring/jumping during head motion
-Loss of balance, a veering to the left
-Neck injury, with fusing of the cervical vertebrae as a result. He has had multiple head traumas, not resulting in loss of consciousness.
-He has occasional migraine.
He recently had VEMP testing, which yielded normal results right, but no VEMP left.
