History: the patient reports sudden onset hearing loss that he says fluctuates.  He brings with him an audiogram that shows bilateral conductive loss, and says he was told he has otosclerosis. He is at this ENT/audiology practice to obtain a second opinion.

• Are his symptoms consistent with otosclerosis?
