The patient was born at 22 weeks gestation with heart and eye complications and spent 5 months in the hospital. He passed his neonatal hearing screening and his speech and language development were normal up to age 1.
At age 2 he was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma. He received neoadjuvant therapy and the tumor was resected. He received cisplatin and doxorubicin.
