VEMPs

Vestibular evoked myogenic response testing was conducted using 95 dB HL 500 Hz tone-burst stimuli.  Positive is up on these traces.

□   Does the amount of hearing loss affect the choice of stimulus level?

□  Contralateral responses were absent.  Do you expect to see a contralateral response; is the absence of the contralateral VEMP a normal or abnormal finding?

□   Are the VEMP latencies normal for the right ear?

□   Describe the left ear findings.

□   What is the diagnostic significance of the VEMP results?
