Case 4

Initials:  RMP

Age:   2 years 1 month

Gender: Male

RMP is a globally developmentally delayed two year old.  He is tactile defensive; he has not had successful behavioral testing.  He was born at 32 weeks gestation. He has a right auricular pit. The parents report a history of otitis media.  He was referred for sedated ABR testing. The child was scheduled previously, but arrived with significant congestion so the anesthesiologist determined sedation would not be safe on that date and he was rescheduled.  On the day of testing he was also somewhat congested and he snored throughout the evoked potentials testing.
