Case 3

Initials: SK

Age: 4 years 4 months

Gender: Male

SK has been diagnosed with autism.  His father reports that his son inconsistently responds to sound.  He has a history of ear infections and had one set of tubes inserted 20 months prior.  The pediatrician had seen the child this week and reported that the PE tube is out in the right ear and wax obstructed left.  The audiologist’s observation is similar.  The child is being tested under IV sedation.
