M.C.V. was born near full term, but was in the NICU after birth, receiving vancomycin and gentamicin for four days. He has cleft lip and palate and coloboma of the optic nerve.
While in the NICU, he failed a screening, and received click-evoked ABR testing (further testing could not be done due to the patient’s state.) The click ABR showed normal interpeak latencies, with prolonged absolute latencies.
- What does the click ABR suggest about possible hearing / site of lesion?
