This site presents case studies in audiology, organized by the links to the right.
The cases use problem-based learning strategies. Students are encouraged to research questions raised if they have not yet had coursework on a given topic.
The goals for this case series are as follows:
- Recognize normal and abnormal neurodiagnostic auditory brainstem response findings
- Determine the lowest intensity evoking the ABR and use that information to predict hearing threshold.
- Identify the cochlear microphonic on ABR traces.
