This site presents case studies in audiology, organized by the tabs to the right.
The cases use problem-based learning strategies. Students are encouraged to research questions raised if they have not yet had coursework on a given topic.
The goals for this case series are as follows:
- to provide students with practice at conveying audiological information
- to recognize when patient/parent questions and comments represent requests for information, seeking confirmation, or are affective in nature
- to assist in the development of skills related to understanding the emotional components of patient/parent statements, questions and reactions
