History: Mrs S was referred by her internist for evaluation of hearing. She complained that her right ear has greater impairment than the left, and that the tinnitus in this ear is growing louder and increasingly annoying. She reported some aural fullness in the right ear, no pain, and no dizziness. She does not feel the left ear is impaired. She stated that the onset of the loss is gradual.
Otoscopy: within normal limits.
