Patient History

Age:                47

Gender:          M

The patient reports longstanding hearing loss in the left ear, which he reports as conductive.  He had previously declined surgical intervention, but is now reconsidering.  He does not have complaint of hearing loss in the right ear.  He denies tinnitus, otalgia, aural fullness. He reports frequent draining from the left ear.

Otoscopy

Grossly abnormal.  Left appears to have little to no tympanic membrane. Right appears scarred.
