Patient History

Gender:          F

The patient reports a history of left middle ear reconstructive surgery, the last surgery being 10-12 years ago.  The medical chart indicates mastoidectomy.  She indicates that her left ear is still “poor” and is concerned about a possible decrease in hearing in the right ear. She reports having to request repetitions more frequently than in the past, and she might consider hearing aid use.

She denies tinnitus, otalgia, aural fullness, recent ear infections. She reports vertigo with slight nausea, triggered by sudden movements. The episodes are brief.

Otoscopy

There is no clinical note about findings.
